OLYMPIC GAMES IN CELJE! It may sound strange but it's true. On Thursday 22nd of May there was a big moment for many children – 12th Olympic games. The event started at about 13.00 in Celje hospital. Namely every year there are hospital Olympic games where sick and hurt children, compete in different games.
It was very interesting - I can tell, because I was there. Not because I was sick, but because I was there with our school choir.
The games were opened by a very famous guest – gymnast Mitja Petkovšek. Our choir sang an Olympic anthem and then the competition started. Every child tried to get the best score.
Mitja wasn’t the only guest. I believe you all know the Slovenian sport reporter Peter Kavčič. He did some interesting interviews and showed us how the reporting looks like.
The leader of this event was the Mc’Donalds clown. He was amazing. He showed us some great tricks. At the end we sang an Olympic anthem again.
Every child was a winner and got a gold medal. It made children very happy. When the 12th Olympic games were over, children returned to their rooms. Intention of games was achieved - to make a boring day in hospital interesting and fun. It should happen more often.

This is a good thing for children there. They are lonely and quite isolated.
